Some of y'all may know, I am a big fan of the ocean. I like the critters in it. They're neat. However, I came across something today that wasn't just neat, it was downright astonishing and weird and freaky and totally awesome. Octopuses are digging up coconut shells that fall into the sediment, walking around with them, and then hiding under them when they pause to rest. No, seriously. Octopi are using tools! Don't take my word for it, just clicky on the link to National Geographic and read the article. And watch the video too, because it's freaking insane.
